How iPads are driving enterprise cloud adoption: An interview with SiliconAngle TV
During this week’s Node Summit in San Francisco, our founder Peter Chang talked to SiliconAngle’s John Furrier and Alex Williams about the current state of enterprise cloud storage adoption, and the challenges companies are facing with the rising trend of BYOD (bring-your-own-device) to work.
In the interview they discuss the current gaps in the market – more and more users are bringing their new iPads and other mobile devices into the workplace, which creates a big problem for companies because they are losing control over sensitive data when a user loses their device or leaves the team. While there are quite a few existing consumer solutions for syncing and sharing, no one has been able to provide a complete end to end solution that IT can adopt and deploy in the enterprise. Oxygen takes a fundamentally different approach to connect a company’s users, devices and content with private storage. Peter talks about how Oxygen’s unique security model protects corporate content with minimal disruption, and also sharing his perspective on how we are building Oxygen around a new model of content access in the enterprise.
