Highlights from EMC World 2012 – Keep your data
Thank you to everyone who made EMC World such a successful event! Especially to all our partners, customers and fans – it was great to see everyone there. My favorite moments have got to be when our own users came by the booth, eagerly took out their iPhones and iPads to show us how they much they love and use Oxygen everyday!
Jeff Boling, who is an Enterprise Technology Consultant at EMC and an avid Oxygen fan was just one of many who came by and expressed their support. Jeff showed us how he uses Oxygen to keep all his work documents and just brings his iPad to all his customer meetings – “I have every documentation on every product with me at all times. I have every customer drawing of every configuration with me at all times without actually having it with me.”
I recorded Jeff’s use case to share with everyone because what else is better than hearing it from the horse’s mouth?
Keep your data
Our message at EMC World resonated with the audience very well. Keep your data. You don’t have to give up control over your data and upload it elsewhere just because your users need mobile access to their files. Let us help you! Oxygen provides mobile access to your existing EMC storage so you can keep your data and leverage your own storage and infrastructure.
It’s simple:
- Plug in your EMC VNX, Atmos and Isilon storage
- Plug in your devices
- Access everything, anywhere (Just like how Jeff did in the video above!)
Everyone else tells you to upload your data. Seriously, they are all the same – Dropbox, Box, SugarSync, Syncplicity, Egnyte, Google Drive, and another dozen other sheep offering the same thing. While these solutions may differ slightly in their features and offering, ultimately they require you to upload your data. Or worse, they’ll make a copy of your data somewhere else in the cloud. Do you really want that?
All of our customers and folks from EMC World told us they needed a different solution. Something more secure, controlled, scalable and flexible for an enterprise environment.
Now you have a choice with Oxygen. You don’t have to give up your data. Oxygen lets you keep your own data. Use your own storage. We don’t need you to upload it to enable mobile access, and we definitely don’t copy your data into the cloud. You can keep everything safe and sound behind your own firewalls and still enjoy the benefits of cloud access from anywhere.
Don’t be a sheep. Cloud your own files.
Check out the enlightened ones from EMC World sporting our “I Cloud Files” tee (special appearances by @davemhenry, @nerdblurt and @rolltidega):
What were some of your favorite moments at EMC World this year? Let us know!
