ING Direct implements Oxygen Cloud for mobile access to private cloud

ING Direct

We are very proud to announce that ING Direct Canada has deployed Oxygen Cloud for anywhere mobile access to their private storage.

Oxygen Cloud fits two very critical needs for ING: the end user demand for an easy way to access data anywhere, and IT’s need to keep data on-premise for governance and access control. Oxygen integrates with ING’s existing storage infrastructure to provide visibility and governance IT required, while offering a simple and intuitive interface for users to access their files across different devices.

“How can we do exactly the same thing, don’t take away any of the usability, but how can we have the visibility and governance around it,’ says Charaka Kithulegoda, CIO of ING Direct Canada in a video interview with the Oxygen team. “There are many solutions but Oxygen was the only solution out there that actually helped us in an appliance format, to bring that in and implement a technology that essentially let us implement our first private cloud.”

ING Direct Canada’s CIO, Charaka Kithulegoda, talks extensively about ING Direct’s Oxygen Enterprise Private Cloud deployment and their expereince. Watch the full video interview here:

Oxygen have enabled ING Direct Canada to keep their own data, use their own storage and authentication yet provide their users the full benefits of anywhere mobile access to all corporate files. It’s a win-win, don’t you think? ;)
