Oxygen for Windows and Mac now support roaming profiles

Why is this important?

Say you have computers that are shared by multiple users (the computer lab scenario) or have “thin clients” that rely on virtual desktops (VDI). In both cases you would be a candidate for Oxygen’s new desktop clients.

Oxygen’s new clients let you work in either of the above scenarios and retrieve an existing cache you already have on the shared machine while still maintaining your Oxygen encrypted container and all the centralized control that provides. With Oxygen’s support of roaming profiles, companies can cover more scenarios around the next generation desktop.

Make Oxygen and Microsoft Office 2013 seamless partners in your work day

It’s now really easy to add Oxygen as a “place” for Office 2013. When you have both installed and are logged into Windows Live, all you have to do is “add a place” from any Office 2013 application, select Oxygen, and then have access to your Oxygen drive for all your Office documents. This makes it simple to retrieve your Office documents from Oxygen, work on them and save them back.

Using Oxygen is simpler than ever

Based on your feedback, we made the right click context menu simpler for our Windows and Mac desktop clients. For any file in Oxygen, just right click, highlight Oxygen and you’ll see three simple options:

• Sync or unsync (sync or unsync files; sync only for folders)
• Share this file (creates a link to the file, with expiration and password options, and lets you paste it into any messaging application)
• Stop sharing (immediately expires the link to the file)

More IT capability to manage user drives 

After we introduced our simpler interface for individual users, lots of admins told us they still needed to be able to manage the individual user drives. Well here it is. Now admins can simply find the user drives they need to administer from our admin console.
